“Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, who has made of one blood all nations and hast promised that many shall come from the East and sit down with Abraham in thy kingdom: We pray for thy prodigal children in Muslim lands who are still afar off, that they may be brought nigh by the blood of Christ. Look upon them in pity, because they are ignorant of thy truth…Take away pride of intellect and blindness of heart, and reveal to them the surpassing beauty and power of thy Son Jesus Christ. Convince them of their sin in rejecting the atonement of the only Savior. Give moral courage to those who love thee, that they may boldly confess thy name…Hasten the day of religious freedom in Turkey, Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan adn North Africa. Send forth reapers where the harvest is ripe, and faithful plowmen to break furrows in lands still neglected. May the tribes of Africa and Malaysia not fall a prey to Islam but be won for Christ. Bless the ministry of healing in every hospital, and the ministry of love at every church and mission. May all Muslim children in mission schools be led to Christ and accept him as their personal Savior…Strengthen converts, restore backsliders, and give all those who labor among Muslims the tenderness of Christ, so that bruised reeds may become pillars of his church, and smoking flaxwicks burning and shining lights. Make bare thine arm, O God, and show thy power. All our expectation is from thee…Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son in the Muslim World, and fulfill through him the prayer of Abraham thy friend, O, that Ishmael might live before thee. For Jesus’ sake. Amen”
I am currently and about to end my directed study on Islam. Right now, I am about to start “The Truth about Islam” by Anees Zaka which I am really excited to read. This prayer is in the beginning of the book and I thought it would be a good blogpost!

I Peter 5:8-9
8Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
Standing Firm In the Midst of Satanic Attack-
Everyone faces problems and little battles in life over dominion. Whether it is over dominion of worldviews, dominion of land, dominion of space and time, dominion and dominion. In light of this, Satan and his kingdom looks to destroy the kingdom of God. So what does Peter want: He tells the Church
Don’t Lower Your Guard. Be sober and alert and aware of the warfare that is going on. It is a battle over kingdoms. Be alert and watchful ready for the enemy.
Don’t Feed the Lion. Do not feed the lion with sin, deceit, disobedience and breaking the law of God. Do not stray away from the path of righteousness and obedience to the Word. Proactively fight against sin and Satan.
Let Christ and Our Brother Fight Your Battles. Resist the Devil and Sin and fight the Battle knowing the outcome is found in Christ and his Victorious Throne. Have faith in this victory. Persecution is happening to all under the banner of Christ. Fellow brothers in other countries, as well as here in America, are facing fierce persecution. Stand firm in Christ and His Victory.
Peace!

Article about Elton John and his view of religion: click here
Elton John and some of hollywood and pop culture have the sentiment that religion breeds hatred and anti-gay opinions. He also stated, ” I would get rid of religion.”
I have two remarks:
1. I apologize for some religious folks and perspectives that we believe and hold that somethings are not to be.
2. I hope we all can see that we have some folks HATE RELIGION, some HATE GAYS, some HATE CHRISTIANS, some HATE ROB, etc… there is no way to divide beliefs, presuppositions, ideas, religious perspectives from the individual, physical reality, practicum of living, etc..
While Elton John would want to portray himself as a 60’s type of guy, like John Lenin, he is not. HE HATES RELIGION! Therefore, this article and his opinion is only a reflection of himself.

I didn’t have a pen to write my little notes but I do have some observations.
First, it was great to be a church since the 2 previous Sabbaths were filled with unplanned events which needed to be dealt with.
Second, it was time for communion which I needed.
Observation:
I hate that some in the church take communion as a joke- as only a memory of some event in the past.
The lack of reverance, holiness and awe drive me up the wall.
Something out of the ordinary, Jake (my pastor) doing a little shimmy to that song, “Don’t worry…be happy!”
Preaching today was okay. Jakes drew upon topic of anxiety which is something all people go through.
I learned and felt that I too put so much effort to work my future, make my plans and becoming to anxious of the future without trusting in our Sovereign Lord. So much effort and control in my hands and that is what I want. To have control and power over my destiny. To know the direction and the next step without any surprises. Hence, becoming an autonomous being and self-worshipped idol.
Forgive my autonomy and lack of trust Lord. I put my life and future in your hands.
